I am concerned with things being connected where it is unclear whether there alrerady is a connection or not. Where you look at the ripple effects of how the surroundings around you influence what is created.

When I work, I try to look back at things that I have worked on before, or compare it to a completely different time. I try to conjure up something that can remind me of something sacred or religious. I believe that many of the thoughts that emerge during my process of the pictorial are something that could also have arisen 100 years ago. With my works I try to bring out something in between something that is not set in stone. Through fragmented thoughts about changes that are constantly developing. Where the goal is for the concept to be able to show itself on its own premises. That we as the viewer are not in controll of what is in front of us. we only have to accept that what we are confronted with can feel unreliabal, but we still have to. trust it.
